TV Reporter Course in Turkey

Aljazeera Media Institute – Turkey

Aljazeera Media Institute, in cooperation with Jood Media Production and Training Company, concluded in Turkey the TV Reporter Skills Course with Amer Lafi.

During the training, Amer was keen to acquaint trainees to the concepts of visual language and its connection to the text, and enable them to prepare and produce field TV reports, in addition to the familiarity with the nature of field journalism and its role, tools and responsibilities.

Amer Lafi covered the events of the Libyan revolution in 2011, especially the battles of Sirte and Bani Walid. He also covered the events on the death of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi from the Martyrs Square in central Tripoli, and contributed to cover the waves of the Syrian exodus to Turkey in 2011. He participated in covering the Geneva talks more than once, and the post-ISIS control of Mosul, in addition to covering the failed coup attempt in Turkey. Amer also took part in the production of a documentary film "Night of the Coup" broadcast on Al Jazeera Channel, which documented the most important and hidden events on the night of the failed coup in Turkey, as well as his participation in covering Astana Negotiations 4 and 5 on Syria. Moreover, he covered the South Korean crisis between the two Koreas in September 2017
