Course Description

As Qatar is only a few steps of hosting the 2020 World Cup and as it’s the first event of its kind in the Arab World and in the Middle East, focus on sports, especially football, is soaring as well as on other areas including the press, of course. With the multiplicity of journalism skills and areas of creativity, the process of sub- editing remains the core and the real focus of journalism. In this course we focus on sports editing and how to be distinguished in writing sports news as well as on reporting, analysis and various sports coverage.

Course Objective

• Acquire and develop the required journalistic editing skills for sports.
• Understanding the main techniques and artistic touch of perfect editing for different fields of sports.
• Qualifies the journalist to work in sports journalism and excel in it.
• Expand excellence zone in sports coverage so that it is not only limited to football events.
