Bio

Ibrahim is a professional media figure with over 25 years of extensive experience in global media organizations, including renowned channels such as Egyptian Television, BBC, Abu Dhabi TV, and Al Jazeera Network. His career path reflects a variety of roles, ranging from journalism to editorial leadership and strategic management. He has excellent report writing skills and a deep understanding of media dynamics, in addition to his leadership role.

Experience

1.In 1994, he moved to London to participate in a BBC television project, which lasted for only two years before most of the team moved to establish Al Jazeera channel in Qatar in 1996. 2.He was a producer for the bulletins during the establishment of Al Jazeera, then launched the "Hasad Al Yawm" bulletin in November 1997. 3.In 1999, he worked for a year at BBC Arabic Radio, then in 2000, he worked for another year as the news director for Abu Dhabi TV. 4.In 2001, he returned to Al Jazeera again and was the news director during the events of September, the Afghan war, the second Intifada, and the Iraq war. From April 2004 to May 2006, 5.He supervised a training project at BBC funded by the British government to train around 250 Arab journalists from 7 Arab countries. 6.In 2006, he participated in the founding and launch of Al Jazeera English channel and was the deputy director of the channel for editorial affairs until January 2010. 7.During the years 2010 and 2011, he oversaw the launch of Al Jazeera Balkans channel in Sarajevo. From November 2011 to April 2015, he was the news director of Al Jazeera during the years of the Arab revolutions. 8.From April 2015 to August 2022, he worked as an advisor in the office of His Excellency Sheikh, Chairman of the Board of Al Jazeera. And from August 2022 until now, he works as the editor-in-chief of Al Jazeera English channel.
