Saadia Mufarreh is a Kuwaiti journalist, author, poet and critic. She worked in radio production and has hosted a number of cultural programs on the air. She also founded the “how to write an article” project to train journalists.

The “glass ceiling” that prevents women journalists from progressing in the Gulf is not due to a lack of competence, but rather a product social norms that encourage the press to favour men over women when filling posts.
