Course Description

This course guides participants in the aesthetic concept of landscape photography and the necessary techniques to achieve that.

Course Objective

By the end of this course, participants will:
• Define the fundamentals of landscape photography.
• Identify the tools used in photography.
• Apply techniques of visual composition for the image.

• General concepts in nature photography:
- An overview of the beginnings and motivations of landscape photography.
- Understand the world of landscape photography and its characteristics.
- Challenges faced by photographers and how to deal with them.
- Documentary natural image and impressionistic artistic image.

• Technical skills and concepts:
- Camera, lenses, and equipment necessary for landscape photography.
- Image sharpness, depth of scope and their importance in landscape photography.
- Filters used and their properties.
- Image processing techniques in Photoshop.

• Aesthetics of reality:
- Visual composition: light, shadows, masses, lines, perspective.
- Color theory and its aesthetic and psychological effects.
- Harmonious and complementary colors, light and color contrast.
