Course Description

A practical course to teach the trainees to perform basic editing functions while at the same time becoming familiar with the user interface.
The course begins with basic video editing techniques and continues with the powerful features of Final Cut Pro.
Trainees work with dramatic materials from the real world of media to learn practical techniques used daily in editorial projects.

Course Objective

By the end of this course, participants will:
• Explore the program interface and organize materials.
• Create a new project, add video and audio clips, and incorporate transitions between them.
• Edit and enhance audio levels and quality.
• Use techniques for adjusting video speed and adding effects.
• Edit video and perform color correction.

• Introduction to Final Cut Pro:
- Getting to know the program interface.
- Enter materials into the program.
- Organize video and audio clips in Events.

• Basics of editing in Final Cut Pro:
- Make a preliminary montage.
- Edit and enhance audio and video clips in Timeline.
- Add new clips to the main story.
- Add transitions between video clips and audio clips.

• Audio in Final Cut Pro:
- Work with audio, adjust volume, improve sound quality.
- Use the attached audio library.

• Video and effects:
- Adjust the speed of the video clip.
- Add basic and important effects.
- Use effects to delete the green or blue background (keying).

• Advanced techniques in Final Cut Pro:
- A multi-camera video montage method.
- Foundations of professional color correction.
- Export your final project in different formats to suit different needs.
- Learn about the Compressor program to export the final work professionally.
