Course Description

Documentary voice-over is the art of conveying information and ideas through voice in a neutral and objective manner that supports the visuals and enhances the visual message. It is characterized by its focus on clarity, accuracy, and calm delivery, avoiding exaggeration or drama, to provide the viewer with a rich and trustworthy experience. The importance of documentary narration lies in its role as a primary tool for capturing audience attention and simplifying scientific, historical, or human stories while maintaining credibility and objectivity. This course aims to equip participants with the vocal and performance skills needed to master documentary narration, starting with the basics of delivery and articulation and advancing to tone control, pacing, and vocal modulation that serve the documentary message.

- Breathing techniques and managing air capacity.
- Balance the vocal appeal with objectivity.

• Vocal performance skills:
- Use vocal modulation to enhance meaning.
- Employ rhythm and pauses to highlight information.
- Convey emotion without excessive expression.
- Maintain vocal stability throughout long scripts.
