Course Description

With the development of TV documentary programs regionally and globally, it has become necessary for editors, producers or directors of documentaries to possess international professional competitive tools and techniques. Hence, this course is designed using practical exercises so as trainees become able to acquire the basics of TV documentary programs production. Those basics are informative and/or humanitarian, political or social with high-quality in terms of both content and form. Participants will be trained on the stages of idea development, research and writing, before presenting it to producing parties. Then they will be trained all stages of pre-production, production and post-production, including making an integral TV documentary program by the end of the course. This course will include the identification of problems and challenges of TV documentary programs production in addition to discussing solutions methods and work mechanisms.

Course Objective

By the end of the course, trainees should:
- Design a scheme for a TV documentary program production editorially and financially, and executing it.
- Accomplish research and preparation for a TV documentary program.
