34 Ambassadors of Sustainable Development Goals Initiative at AJMI Headquarters

Al Jazeera Media Institute management met with 43 ambassadors from "Ambassadors of Sustainable Development Goals" initiative as part of the Institute's social responsibility strategy in supporting and promoting awareness of principles of sustainable development.
During this meeting, which hosted by the Institute, the administration was briefed on some initiatives emanating from Ambassadors of Sustainable Development Goals initiative. Among these the initiative of Ambassador Mohammed Al-Hail under the title "Feed" which related to benefiting from surplus food of restaurants and wedding tables and how to be distributed to needy families, which represents the second goal of Sustainable Development Goals "No to Hunger".
Khalifa Al-Sada also presented his initiative on recycling some materials to be used as toys which reflects the 17 sustainable development goals targeting young people.
For her part, Aisha Al Kuwari spoke about her initiative to re-desalinate water with a sustainable system, while the four initiatives of children Jassim, Abdullah, Mohammed and Ali focuses on building smart cities depending on sustainable energy and conversion of solar energy into electricity.
The Children were also introduced to the institute's facilities and studios and were given practical exercises on facing the camera and reading news from the auto-cue in studio.
It is noteworthy that Al Jazeera Media Institute is one of supporters of "Ambassadors of Sustainable Development Goals" initiative, believing in social responsibility towards youth initiatives and promoting the idea of communication and cooperation between individuals and various community institutions, in addition to enhancing awareness and interaction on sustainable development goals.
