AJMI accomplished 212 training courses during the first half of 2023

Hamad Al-Hawal, Director of Planning and Projects Department at Al Jazeera Media Institute, explained that during the first half of 2023 the Institute offered 212 training courses, including 164 special courses held for institutions, companies and ministries, and 47 courses that were made available to the public covering the fields of media, journalism, communication and public relations.
Al-Hawal added that the number of trainees reached nearly 3,000 trainees, including 677 Qatari trainees, while the number of trainees of Arab and non-Arab nationalities reached 2,366. In addition to that around 794 trainees from Aljazeera Media Network employees had joined special developing training courses in their specific fields of specialization being technical or editorial. 
Al-Hawal indicated that the Institute allocated a committee to prepare course schedule of 2024 based on the needs of the public as reflected through the Institute's various official digital platforms, taking into account the changes taking place in the media training markets.
Al-Hawal stressed that the Institute continues to diversify courses that it offers to the public, noting that course schedule for this year 2023 included 12 categories, including a new category for external courses, which was included in addition to the previous categories that the Institute used to provide, namely: television and radio journalism, technical operation, design and montage skills, digital media, photography and creativity skills, media skills, communication and public relations, workshops and diplomas, category of young people courses and finally the category of remote courses.

As to the new titles put forward by the Institute, they include:

In the field of diploma programs: Media Performance Diploma, Field Media Skills Diploma, Podcast Diploma and Digital Media Diploma. 

Workshop new titles include: Open Source Investigations Workshop and Media Culture Workshop. With regard to youth courses, the Institute recently launched a theatrical performance course, which will be the latest course offered to young people.

It noteworthy that the training courses launched by the Institute target amateurs and professionals, as well as media speciality employees and non-media employees.
