AJMI - Doha

Al Jazeera Media Institute has concluded its summer holiday training program for young people at its headquarters in Doha, bringing together 108 Qatari and resident students in a diverse range of specialized courses designed to reinforce their skills in media, language and leadership in order to enable them building self- confidence to express themselves before an audience.

The program featured a varied package of courses that drew interest of parents, including Future Presenter in both Arabic and English languages, Young Speaker in both Arabic and English languages, Mobile Photography, Voice Concentration, Art of Presence and Expression, and Young Entrepreneur. In addition to “Arabic language and Media course”, which focused on boosting skills of participants on writing and communication using Arabic language and introducing them to contemporary media discourse.

These courses were led by a distinguished group of specialized trainers, including Rania Al-Jammal, Eyad Al-Dawood, Ahmed Al-Malki, Amna Omar, Salem Hussein Al-Jahoushi and Mohammed Mzeimez. Throughout the program, trainers focused on blending theory with hands-on practice through on-camera exercises and interactive classroom activities. As a result, the program helped young participants refine their talents and develop their skills in television presentation, public speaking, negotiation, and vocal and visual expression. They also boosted their command of Arabic language and their ability to use it effectively in contemporary media contexts.

Training program took place in a stimulating environment that mirrored professional media practice across the Institute’s studios and specialized training rooms. Participants had the opportunity to appear on camera, presenting short segments and creating mobile-shot visual content, enhancing their digital skills and helping them keep pace with the evolving landscape of new media platforms. As a result, parents expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the Institute to provide a safe, professional environment in which their children’s talents could be discovered, nurtured and guided.
