AJMI holds a Television Presentation course in Syria

In order to empower aspiring media professionals in various Arab countries, Al Jazeera Media Institute is launching an intensive television presentation course in Syrian Arab Republic from 5 to 9 October.

This course, which is a part of Audiovisual Journalism program, provides an integrated training experience that provides participants with an in-depth knowledge of television studio and newsroom environment, as well as understanding the professional relationship between the broadcaster and the editorial and technical teams. It also focuses on developing basic qualities of a successful presenter, such as self-confidence, promptitude, good concentration, sound integrity, proper articulation, and strong presence in front of the camera.

Throughout training sessions, participants will be trained to develop their professional presentation skills, such as mastering Arabic language, practice in speaking arts, dialogue effective management, proper body language in addition to proper reading from auto-cue and dealing with control room speakers.

 The course focus on enhancing practical aspects through intensive exercises that include simulated live bulletin reading and real-time evaluations provided by the instructor, along with exercise recording for performance analysis, which helps accelerating participants’ professional development process.
