AJMI the media sponsor of Arab Youth Anti-Corruption Hackathon

Al Jazeera Media Institute contributes as a media sponsor for Arab Youth Anti-Corruption Hackathon which will be organized from 10 to14 September, by the Oversight and Transparency Authority in the State of Qatar in partnership with both the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and Microsoft Qatar.
On her part, Mrs. Iman Al Ameri, Director of Al Jazeera Media Institute, said: "We are pleased to provide media patronage with the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority, for the first edition of the Programming for Integrity initiative (Hackathon - Arab Youth Anti-Corruption) and we hope that this will be the first step in continuing and expanding our cooperation in the future".
Al Ameri continued, “We are proud to support this competition side by side with the major local and international institutions, as we in Aljazeera Media Network believe in the power of innovation and technology an highly valued the importance of empowering and promoting skills and potentials of young generations in this field due to the importance of their role in building a better future”.
The Director of Al Jazeera Media Institute also stressed the Institute's full conviction of the role of media in promoting and consecrating values of technology and initiatives of innovation, creativity as influential and powerful tools to achieve change and development in societies, as well as the importance of enhancing values of transparency and combating corruption. In a reality, we cannot underestimate the role of media and technology and importance of them working together in supporting values of transparency and combating corruption, as they represent good tools through which positive results can be achieved for the whole world.
