AJMI Organizes The Comprehensive Journalist Course for QNA

In an effort to enhance cooperation between Al Jazeera Media Institute (AJMI) and the Qatar News Agency (QNA), "The Comprehensive Journalist" course will be held from 10th to 18th October.

The participants of this course include 11 journalists from QNA and will be trained by the Expert trainer, Mohammed Dawood, the Director of Standards and Quality Control at the Al Jazeera Media Network. 
The course will address two main topics: journalistic editing and mobile journalism.

In journalistic editing, participants will be introduced to the essence of journalistic editing, its rules and its significance in media institutions. As well as the news editing techniques, the importance of news headlines, rules aiding their formulation and the writing of news reports, their types and advantages.

During the training course

On the other hand, the second topic will be dedicated to mobile journalism where Dr. Hussam Wahba, a media expert in editorial standards at the network, sheds light on narrative techniques and stories suitable for mobile platforms, visual composition, sizes and angles of shots, montage techniques and other related topics.

Upon concluding the course, the trainees will be assigned to prepare graduation projects, which will consist of a comprehensive media project on mobile phones, aiming to gauge the benefits derived from the course.

It is worth noting that the Institute has previously collaborated with QNA, having organised up to 15 training courses for its members in 2021
