Al Jazeera Ambassadors Program expands its training impact with 182 courses and 3,850 trainees

Al Jazeera Ambassadors initiative has recorded a remarkable growth in terms of its training activities and number of beneficiaries, reflecting the expansion of the initiative and the increasing impact it has achieved in recent years.

The total number of workshops and training courses delivered by the initiative reached 182, benefiting 3,850 trainees. This represents an annual increase of 32% in the number of courses and 46% in the number of trainees. The initiative targeted students, young media professionals, and those interested in content creation.

The initiative’s activities benefited trainees from 18 Arab and non-Arab countries. Training was delivered by 86 volunteer trainers across 65 training titles covering television and digital journalism, content creation, and areas of news monitoring and verification.

This growth achieved by Al Jazeera Ambassadors initiative reflects the strategic orientation of the Aljazeera Media Institute to expand its media impact base and pushing forward development of professional competencies, in line with the Institute’s mission to build up a media generation equipped with awareness, skills and professional responsibility.

Al Jazeera Media Institute is keen to strengthen partnerships with educational institutions in several countries, contributing to expand umbrella of initiatives and extend its impact to broader segments of youth and those interested in media field.
