Al Jazeera Media Institute concluded the Forum of Journalism Colleges in Arab World

Al Jazeera Media Institute concluded on Monday, October 16, the Forum of Journalism Colleges in Arab World with a visit by a group of academics and professors to the Institute's headquarters where they witnessed the launch of the e-learning platform in its new version in both Arabic and English.
Bilal Benabid, supervisor of the e-learning platform at Al Jazeera Media Institute, reviewed and explained for more than 70 university professors the history of establishing and launching the platform and its modern features represented in the use of LMS learning technology in addition to using other interactive smart tools in interactive and blended learning as well.
The visitors also met with Mounir Al-Daimi, Executive Director of the Digital Sector of Al Jazeera Media Network, and Asif Hamidi, Director of the Newsroom at Al Jazeera Channel, where the meeting, which is moderated by Aljazeera Arabic Channel presenter Mohammad Krishan, focused on aspirations of both directors of newsrooms and digital platforms for the new generation of journalists and focused on the gap between education outputs and real labor market.
Also academics and professors of Arab universities visited both Al Jazeera Channel and AJ+, where they learned about the progress of media work in the digital sector as well as visiting television studios.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Iman Al Ameri, Director of the Institute, honored the winners of Media Creativity Award, which targeted students of media colleges and institutes in the State of Qatar, namely Shahd Idris Senghor, Munira Al-Hayza, Aisha Al-Qahtani, Al-Dana Al-Kuwari, Haya Al-Kaabi, and Haneen Zayed.
During the days of the forum, participants and attendees were provided with a unique and qualitative opportunity to share ideas and experiences, and discuss current challenges and future opportunities in the world of journalism.
