Hamad Bin Khalifa University delegation visits AJMI as part

Al Jazeera Media Institute welcomed a delegation from the College of Islamic Studies at Hamad Bin Khalifa University. The delegation consists of students from master’s Program in Islam and International Affairs, as part of “Al Jazeera Ambassadors” initiative.

The visit included a field tour of the institute and Al Jazeera Network facilities, where students saw a true professional media work environment. They also visited Al Jazeera English and Al Jazeera News channels, and attended a specialized training workshop on safety of journalists in conflict zones, delivered by journalist Ibrahim Saber, who shared his field experience and practical examples of challenges faced in high‑risk environments.

Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail Al-Amin, Professor of master’s Program in Islam and International Affairs, expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and excellent organization that provide students with rich experience. He praised the comprehensive explanations and high professionalism demonstrated throughout the visit.

He emphasized that the program was diverse and enriching, combining field tours across the network’s facilities in addition to hands‑on training, most notably the safety workshop, which offered students deeper insight into ethical, professional, and security challenges faced journalists during field reporting.

He also commended the efforts of all teams within Al Jazeera Media Network for their cooperation and professionalism, highlighting their role in providing clear explanations and informative responses during the tour. This visit comes within the framework of the Institute efforts to strengthen collaboration with academic institutions in order to connect  theoretical learning with real‑world media work through practical experiences that enhance media competencies of students.
