The Institute's Latest Courses... Short story writing course with Hajji Jaber

Al Jazeera Media Institute caries on its efforts to enhance creative writing skills for those interested, by launching a specialized evening course on "Short Story Writing", under the supervision of novelist Hajji Jaber, during the period from 6 to 10 July, at the Institute's headquarters in Doha.
The course will focus on providing participants with an in-depth understanding of the art of the short story, as one of the most prominent forms of literary expression. The training program will address a number of basic themes, including: An introduction to short story, short story types and their role in literature, idea and plot building in a coherent and thoughtful manner, developing characters, writing an effective dialogue that serves narrative structure, in addition to narrative techniques, description and escalation of events in an artistic style.
Course enrollment conditions: Minimum high school diploma, reading and research skills, and basic literacy.
At the end of the course, participants get graduation certificates that enhance their career in the field of creative writing and enables them to produce distinguished story texts that combine imagination and literary depth.
