Media for Development initiative winds up Digital Research Skills Course

Al Jazeera Media Institute concluded on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, "Digital Research Skills" training course, as a part of activities of Media for Development initiative, which aims to empower media professionals with tools of digital age and enhance their professional capabilities in fields of verification and monitoring.
The course was held remotely via Zoom application over three days, three training hours each day, in partnership with Sada Social.
The course was led by Nidaa Bassoumi, a specialist in digital media, for 19 trainees of various media backgrounds. Participants learned about advanced digital research tools and techniques, ways to access reliable information, in addition to fact-finding and source verification skills in the digital space.
This course comes in the context of the Institute's commitment and endeavors to enhance capabilities of media professionals in using digital research tools to support their press coverage and to provide a specialized training environment that keeps pace with rapid developments in the field of digital media.
