Al Jazeera Media Institute - Doha

The Aljazeera Media Institute and Seljuk University signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in the teaching and dissemination of Arabic. The agreement’s documents were exchanged on Wednesday at the Institute's headquarters between Mounir Al-Daimi, director of the Institute, Dr. Mustafa Ismail Donmez, Head of Translation Department & Arabic Language Unit at Seljuk University in Konya, Turkey.
The University of Seljuk has adopted Al Jazeera Arabic learning website in its curriculum to teach Arabic language this year and began teaching the language through interactive boards.
Dr. Mustafa Donmez praised the website and expressed his delight with this agreement, which will allow wider areas of cooperation and exchange of experiences. It will be a strong support to help Turkish students learn Arabic.
Al Jazeera's Arabic learning website represents the vision of Al Jazeera network to promote communication between peoples and cultures. It is an open, free educational site that aims to teach and disseminate Arabic as a bridge for human communication and cultural understanding. It includes Turkish, English and French.
The website contains various educational materials covering the three language levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and develops the knowledge and skills of language learners at those levels.
It also offers live Arabic through Al Jazeera's written and visual products, as well as texts from the treasures of Arab heritage.
