In its continuous quest to strengthen its local partnerships, Al Jazeera Media Institute signed on Monday morning- May 29, a cooperation agreement with Qatar Debate Center in the framework of providing services.
The agreement was signed, on the sidelines of the First International Conference on Debate and Dialogue held at Qatar National Convention Center, by both the director of Aljazeera Media Institute, Eman Al Ameri and Dr. Hayat Abdullah Marafie, executive director of Qatar Debate Center.
Al Ameri hailed the signing of this agreement and explained that the cooperation between the two institutions dates back to 2017 when a number of specialized courses we organized with Qatar Debate Center.
Al Ameri pointed out that there are common goals and shared visions between the Institute and Qatar Debate Center, whether in developing human cadres in the two institutions, or developing the skills of young Arab cadres in the art of debate and criticism, and also added: "We look forward to strengthening and consolidating this cooperation further by signing this agreement with Qatar Debate Center.
From her side, Dr. Hayat Abdullah Marafie, Executive Director of Qatar Debate Center, expressed her happiness with signing of this memorandum of understanding, stating that this memorandum represents a greater documentation and consolidation of the continuous long-standing cooperation relationship between the two institutions
She went further to say: "Through this partnership, we aspire to exchange experiences between Qatar Debate Center trainers and Al Jazeera Institute trainers in order to produce and develop new training courses that will provide and add a new qualitative addition to the training content for the interested audience.
Also she noted that “We are confident that this partnership will have a positive impact on many of our ongoing programs such as the Elite Academy, Masar Academy and the Master of Debate in Comparative Jurisprudence”. As we at Qatar Debate Center are keen to provide professional training in the media aspects such as those provided by the Institute to integrate with our training content we provide for our members to refine and polish their skills.".
