AJMI - Doha

To continue discussion raised by Al Jazeera Media Institute during the expanded meeting that it held under the name: "Arab Media and Global South, independence and restoring narrative", the Institute organized a virtual workshop on Wednesday evening, September 18th.

The workshop was presented by Dr. Hassan Obaid, a specialist in political science and social movement affairs. Where he addressed the main challenges facing media and communication studies in order to liberate this field from Western centralized and monocultural domination.

Dr. Obaid also focused on importance of creating multicultural liberal policies that transfer narratives from the South to other countries. The workshop discussed the most important critical paths of media and communication studies.
