Bio

Thorsten Schütte has worked as an author, director and producer in documentary filmmaking for over 20 years. Since 2002 he’s coordinating the documentary and fiction department at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Thorsten Schütte studied cinematography and editing in Cologne and Rome. He produced and directed numerous tv productions and series ( World Jazz, Trip To Brazil, Namibia Generation X, Land Matters, The Cactus of Knowledge, The Forgotten a.o. ) for a variety of broadcasters like ZDF, Arte, VPRO, Discovery, SWR, NBC, One Africa, etc. Besides this he has just published his first book, The Land Matters Report and is a founding member of the Stolen Moments Music Research Group.
