Bio

I am interested in development of the following areas: editing methods in the digital era, especially the relationship between traditional and professional media and social media, follow-up, translation and writing articles about media and social networks. Also, interested in the development of traditional media institutions under the Internet revolution, in addition to the ethics of when dealing with social media as a source to verify the accuracy and credibility of the news. Currently, I am devoted in writing a book about online journalism and the quest to reach the optimal methods for the development of the production content of online journalism and methods of presentation to public.

Experience

• 2009 up to date: Executive Producer of Online - Digital Division in Al Jazeera.net. • 2001 to 2009: Assistant chief editor. • 2000 to 2001: Journalist and one of the founders of Al Jazeera net website. • 1995 to 2000: News editor and translator Al Watan newspaper, Oman. • 1989 to 1995 : Media Officer, Dar Al Thaqafa, Sudan. • 1987 to 1989: journalist in a number of Sudanese newspapers.

Education

- Advanced Diploma in African and Asian Studies from the African and Asian Studies Institute – University of Karthoum (1994 -1995). - Diploma in Translation from the Development Studies and Research Institute – University of Kharthoum (1991 -1992). - Bachelor degree in Journalism and Publishing from University of Cairo (1983 -1987).
