Imad is considered one of the most prominent pioneers in television directing, with extensive experience in the field of TV and media. He began his career in 1972 and has worked on numerous and diverse projects, including drama series, plays, political and religious programs, news shows, as well as various talk shows and educational programs. He has also directed many music videos for prominent Iraqi and Arab artists. His documentaries have been broadcast on major international channels, including CNN, as well as on leading Arab television networks. Imad has won numerous awards at significant Arab festivals, such as the second and third Gulf Festivals in Kuwait, and has served as a jury member in several prominent Gulf festivals. He is regarded as a major figure who has enriched Iraqi and Arab television with a vast body of work that remains memorable to viewers to this day. Many prominent Arab media figures have trained under him, and he continues to train technical staff in television directing techniques. The Arab League honored him at the Festival and Forum of Arab Pioneers and Innovators for his artistic career.

- Started as an Assistant Director in 1972. - Member of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate since 1973. - Directing Expert at Iraq Television from 1980 to 1991. - Head of the Variety Programs Department in Iraq from 1980 to 1984. - Director of the Video Cassette Center at Iraq Television from 1985 to 1991. - Deputy Chairman of the Radio, Cinema, and Television Artists Union from 1994 to 1995. - Managing Director of Al-Hadhar Company for Film and Television Production in 1996. - Worked as a freelance director with private Arab production companies from 1991 to 1996. - Participated in international festivals as a television director. - Jury member at the Gulf International Festival for the second and third sessions from 1982 to 1984. - Director at Al Jazeera Satellite Channel from 1997 to 2013. - Head of the Directing Department at Al Jazeera Satellite Channel from 2004 to 2012. - Participated in specialized training courses in television directing and visual effects in Japan and Germany.
