He is considered one of the most important pioneers of television direction, boasting extensive experience in the field since the beginning of his career in 1972. His portfolio encompasses a diverse array of works, including drama series, political and religious programs, news programs, talk shows, educational programs, and numerous songs performed by famous Iraqi and Arab singers. His documentaries have aired on prominent international channels such as CNN News, as well as on various esteemed Arab television networks. He has garnered numerous awards at significant Arab festivals, including the second and third Gulf Festivals in the State of Kuwait, and has served as a jury member at several prominent Gulf festivals. Widely regarded as one of the luminaries who have enriched Iraqi and Arab television with a wealth of enduring works, his contributions remain etched in the memories of viewers to this day. He has mentored numerous senior Arab media professionals and continues to train technical staff in television direction techniques. His artistic career was honored by the League of Arab States at the Festival and Forum of Arab Pioneers and Innovators.
Experience
- Started as an assistant director in 1972. - Became a member of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate in 1973. - Established himself as a television direction expert in Iraq from 1980 to 1991. - Served as the Head of the Department of Diverse Programs in Iraq from 1980 to 1984. - Directed the Video Cassette Center at Iraq TV from 1985 to 1991. - Held the position of Deputy of the Syndicate of Radio, Film, and Television Artists from 1994 to 1995. - Appointed as the Managing Director of Al-Hadar Company for Film and Television Production in 1996. - Worked as an independent director in private Arab production companies from 1991 to 1996. - Participated in international festivals as a television director. - Served as a member of the jury for the Gulf International Festival during the second and third sessions from 1982 to 1984. - Directed programs at Al Jazeera Satellite Channel from January 19, 1997, to August 18, 2013. - Headed the Direction department at Al Jazeera Satellite Channel from 2004 to 2012. - Participated in training courses for TV direction and visual effects in Japan and Germany.
