Bio

Imad Bahjat is an Iraqi TV director who has been working in this field since 1972. He began his professional career as an assistant director and has since worked as a director in television, leading the variety programs department in Iraq from 1980 to 1984. He also worked as the director of the Video Cassette Center at Iraqi television from 1985 to 1991. He was also the deputy of the Syndicate of Radio, Cinema, and Television Artists from 1994 to 1995. In 1996, he was appointed as the managing director of Al-Hadar Company for Film and Television Production. He participated in many Arab and international festivals and workshops, where he was a jury member of the Gulf International Festival for the second and third sessions from 1982 to 1984. In 1997, he joined Al Jazeera Channel as a director and worked there for 16 years until 2013. He was the head of the directing department in the channel from 2004 to 2012. Mr. Bahjat has extensive experience in the television and film production industry and has participated in several important projects throughout his professional career.
