Bio
Mohamed El Bakkali is a journalist and television correspondent with nearly twenty years of experience, during which he has covered hundreds of major events in more than fifty countries around the world. He currently serves as Al Jazeera’s correspondent in Paris, covering events across Europe and beyond. Alongside his professional career, El Bakkali holds a PhD in Media Sociology and a Master’s degree in International Relations. He lectures at several French and Arab universities and delivers specialized training courses in television and digital journalism. He is the author of "How to Tell the Story on Television" (published by Al Jazeera Media Institute) and "The Question of Professionalism and Ideology in Journalism", and co-author of "Al Jazeera’s Coverage of the Russia-Ukraine War: Correspondents’ Diaries from the Frontline".
