Bio

Liqaa Maki holds a PhD in Media and Propaganda and is a journalist with nearly four decades of experience. He has been a political analyst at Al Jazeera since 2003. Maki possesses extensive training expertise in the fields of journalism, political discourse, and political analysis. He conducted training courses at the Solidarity School for Journalists in the Iraqi Journalists' Syndicate during the 1990s. He also offered various training sessions for organizations and activist groups on public communication and media campaigns. He was awarded the Medal for Best Iraqi Journalist by the Iraqi Journalists' Syndicate in 1996 and the First Professor Award from the University of Baghdad in 2001, along with the "Aalim" Medal from the Arid platform for Arab researchers. With his academic background in political propaganda and journalism, combined with his professional experience in media and political analysis, Liqaa Maki focuses on developing skilled professionals in the field of political media.
