Bio

Sama Al-Saabi, a media professional with over 17 years of experience, currently works as a presenter at Al Jazeera Mubasher. Sama hosts live talk shows that spotlight major political issues, including "Al-Masaa'iya," which features interviews with political figures and officials, and "Hashtag," which tracks key social media trends and interactions. Among her notable achievements is the program "Half an Hour With," which gained significant attention on social media by hosting prominent Al Jazeera presenters and instructors through the platforms of the Al Jazeera Media Institute. Sama has also distinguished herself with her live coverage of major events, including the war in Sudan, the war on Gaza, and her outstanding reporting during the Doha 2022 World Cup. Before joining Al Jazeera Mubasher, she worked at the Al Jazeera Media Institute, delivering diverse training courses, including social media presence, TV presenting for youth, Al Jazeera Ambassadors programs, and meet the press workshops. She also served as a correspondent for CNBC Arabia from Doha in 2012. Sama began her media career in 2006 at Syrian state television, where she prepared and presented numerous social, cultural, and political programs in both Arabic and English, laying a strong foundation for her media journey.
