Bio

Riad Abood began his career in cinematography more than three decades ago, working as a Director of Photography on numerous documentaries, drama productions, commercials, and music videos with Iraqi and Jordanian production companies. He joined Al Jazeera in 1996 and continues to serve as the Director of Television Photography. During his time at Al Jazeera, Abood has covered many significant events and worked in numerous conflict zones, including the Ethiopia-Eritrea war in 1997, the Chechen war in 1999, and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. He has also worked extensively on programs, interviews, and documentary films.
