Bio

Fida Bassil is a media personality and principal anchor at Al Jazeera with extensive knowledge of Middle East affairs and international politics. She was the first presenter to deliver news bulletins for BBC Arabic when it was launched in 2008. During her years at the BBC, Fida presented major news bulletins and talk shows. In 2015, she moved to Alaraby TV in London, where she was the presenter of the first news bulletin on the day of its launch on January 25. Bassil has worked for a range of TV channels such as the BBC, MTV Lebanon, and TRT in Istanbul.
