Bio

Aref Hijjawi served as director of programs for five years at the BBC Arabic in London. He also spent six years as director of programs at Al Jazeera Arabic channel. In addition, he worked in the field of training: six months senior trainer (radio output) in the Training Centre of the BBC. He carried out media training courses for over 7 years while working -at the same time- as supervisor of the Media Institute of Birzeit University. He presented Tv training courses for the Deutsche Welle Arabic service in Berlin. He carried out several training courses for the Dutch radio broadcasting in Hilversum.
