Course Description
TV correspondents play a vital role as the eyes and ears of the public, reporting from the heart of events, whether celebrations, conflicts, or breaking news. This course prepares participants to navigate the fast-paced nature of field reporting, equipping them with essential journalistic tools and techniques. Participants will learn to deliver truthful, objective, and compelling stories through both written and visual media.
Course Objective
By the end of this course, participants will:
• Discuss the fundamental principles of television journalism.
• Understand and apply the key steps involved in preparing for field reporting.
• Define and integrate visual language concepts with written storytelling.
• Develop television news skills to deliver effective messages.

• Introduction to TV work fundamentals:
- Principles and characteristics of journalism and its ethics.
- Templates for television news processing.
- Journalist's relationship with the production team; camera operator and editor.
- TV news production.
• Mechanisms of TV report preparation:
- Methodology for preparing field TV reports.
- Conduct interviews for television reports (form and content).
• Creative and technical skills:
- Basic principles and techniques of filming and editing.
- Aesthetic concept of editing and visual composition.
- Importance of natural sounds in the TV report.
- Writing for picture.
• Parallel TV news skills:
- Presentation skills and standing in front of the camera.
- Correspondent's live TV message.
- Walk and Talk.
- Emergency Issues and how to deal with them.
