Course Description
Dubbing and voiceover are essential components of audiovisual production, requiring not only technical skill but also strong vocal performance and acting ability. Dubbing involves replacing the original dialogue in a film or series with a new voice performance that matches the characters’ emotions, lip movements, and timing. Voiceover, on the other hand, adds narration or character voices without the need to synchronize with on-screen speech. Learners will explore vocal control, timing, character interpretation, and the technical processes involved in sound recording.
Course Objective
By the end of this course, participants will:
• Apply the stages of the dubbing process.
• Practice voiceover methods professionally.
• Discover the techniques used in the sound studio.
Course Outline
• Dubbing art:
- Introduction to acting and actor's tools.
- Voice tone, pronunciation of alphabets, proper intonation, pauses.
- Arabic language grammar and how to adhere them.
- Stages of dubbing process: translation, preparation, voice performance.
• Voiceover:
- Overview of film genres: animated, dramatic, documentary.
- Voiceover techniques and their importance.
• Technical skills inside the sound studio:
- Familiarization with the sound studio and its equipment.
- Software used for recording and recording techniques.
- Handling the microphone for a clean and flawless recording.
