Course Description

Podcasting has become one of the most widespread forms of digital media, and short audio stories are among the most effective methods for engaging listeners and conveying messages in an impactful way. This workshop aims to introduce participants to the fundamentals of producing short audio stories, starting from developing the idea, moving through the audio recording stage, and ending with editing and post-production.

By the end of this workshop, participants will:
• Explain the basics of producing audio stories for podcasts.
• Write a short and engaging script for an audio episode.
• Record and process audio properly to produce a short podcast episode.

• Introduction to audio stories and podcasting:
- Definition of podcasting and its importance in digital media.
- Characteristics of short audio stories.
- The difference between long-form and short-form audio storytelling.

• Idea development and audio writing:
- Choose an appealing and audience-appropriate topic.
- Write a concise narrative script.
- Prepare the audio outline for the episode.

• Audio recording and basic editing:
- Use appropriate microphones and recording tools.
- Vocal performance tips: breathing, tone, and vocal expression.
- Basics of simple audio editing and sound adjustment.
