Course Description

"Photography is the art of painting with light." This statement highlights the importance of light in photography. It is not just about illuminating objects but also about visual and aesthetic composition, aimed at creating a visual artwork that overflows with dramatic expressive power. However, to execute this, one must learn many artistic tools in addition to the technical knowledge of various equipment. This course is designed to teach the fundamental rules and concepts of lighting inside the studio.

Course Objective

By the end of the course, participants:
• Explain the concept and methods of indoor lighting.
• Use supplementary tools and accessories in photography.
• Differentiate between various lighting techniques and apply them effectively.

• Lighting characteristics:
- Types of lighting and their equipment.
- Basic types of filters and how to control color temperature.
- Reflectors and controlling light sources.

• Supplementary elements:
- Characteristics of the location during shooting.
- Time-related factors.
- Atmospheric conditions.
- Artistic composition of the image.

• Lighting setup:
- Direct and indirect lighting, indoor and outdoor.
- Shadows and backlighting (Silhouette).
- Shooting locations and creating balance in lighting.
- Key lighting and backlighting.
- Decor and background.
