Course Description
Many people believe in specialization, especially among those working in the television field. Currently, sports have become an attracting element for many who aspire to enter the world of television and experience television presenting, particularly in the sports field. This is especially true with the large number of sports tournaments in the Arab world, and the need for television channels to have specialized sports personnel who can deliver the news to viewers with honesty and a complete understanding of the content, along with a unique sports presentation style.
Course Objective
By the end of this course, participants will:
• Identify fundamentals of sports presenting.
• Develop successful sports presenting skills.
• Deliver sports news professionally.
Course Outline
• Introduction to sports media:
- Differences between media presenter and sports presenter.
- Knowing the studio and the newsroom.
- Sport presenters’ role and their relationship with editorial and technical team.
• Qualities of a successful sports presenter:
- Communication skills and clear verbal expression.
- Deep understanding of sports rules and events.
- Analysis of sports games and athletic performance.
• Skills of sports TV presentation:
- Language proficiency, expression, and voice control.
- Proficiency in conducting dialogue and controlling subjects.
- Body language control and readiness for any contingency.
- Dealing with autocue, earpiece, and relationship with the director.
