11 Summer courses combining Media and life skills for young people

AJMI - Doha

Al Jazeera Media Institute has launched its Summer Program for young people, featuring 11 in-person training courses taking place throughout July and August. The program includes eight courses in Arabic and three in English, all delivered during evening sessions by certified trainers of the Institute and industry experts.

The program also introduces two new courses namely, Public Speaking in English and Negotiation Skills in Arabic, as part of its ongoing commitment to expanding and diversifying its training pathways, in order to enrich participants’ learning experience, and offering a wider range of opportunities.

The program is designed to develop media competencies alongside essential intellectual and life skills, guided by a vision of preparing a generation capable not only of producing content, but of creating content with genuine value and impact. It therefore combines media, critical thinking, and communication skills to strengthen participants’ abilities in expression, analysis, creativity, and self-confidence.

The program includes courses in Mobile Photography, Podcasting, Television Presentation, Story Writing, Public Speaking, Stage Performance, Negotiation Skills and Entrepreneurship, all delivered through hands-on training experiences that simulate real media work environments.

The program is targeting two age groups, 10 to 15 years and 12 to 17 years, ensuring that each group receives age-appropriate learning experiences. Course start on 19 July and continue through 25 August. Registration details are available on Al Jazeera Media Institute website or through Registration Department of the Institute’s
