19 Evening media workshops at AJMI Headquarters

In the frame of its commitment to support professional development of media professionals and enthusiasts, Al Jazeera Media Institute has announced a program featuring 19 evening training workshops to be held throughout 2026 at the Institute’s headquarters. The program includes 12 specialized, non-repetitive, training titles aimed at enhancing practical media skills and preparing participants to enroll in more advanced and intensive courses.
These workshops respond to the needs of media professionals and enthusiasts seeking a fast and well-structured introduction to contemporary media skills, with a focus on short-form content, visual storytelling, video journalism, dealing with fast paced news environments, as a first step towards advanced training programs.
The Institute affirmed that these workshops represent an important foundational stage that paves the road toward advanced programs and supports sustainable professional development for media practitioners.
The workshops cover key areas of contemporary media, including: producing short audio stories for podcasts, visual storytelling on TikTok, media literacy, press release writing, digital identity, creating professional Reels content, writing for digital video, managing press conferences, voice concentration, handling breaking news television presentation, and open coverage.
The workshops are supervised by accredited experts with a well-known professional experience and are designed as short, introductory evening workshops that focus on delivering core concepts and initial skills in each field, using concise practical models to clarify concepts and guide participants on how to further build upon them.
These workshops aim to introduce participants to modern media expression tools and their characteristics, and to help them develop an initial understanding that enables them to later deepen their knowledge through specialized extended courses.
