4% increase in the number of registrations on E-learning platform in 2024

Al Jazeera Media Institute's E-learning platform recorded a significant increase in the number of registrants during 2024, with a total of 236,000 compared to 227,000 in the preceding year, an increase equivalent to 4.2%.
Also, the number of active registrants rose to 410,000, reflecting an increase of 4.1% from last year. In contrast, more than 106,000 trainees successfully completed their courses.
The platform published 12 new e-courses during the year, including nine courses in Arabic and three in English, reflecting the expansion of content provided to target groups.
The platform also launched in 2024 the first electronic diploma specialized in digital media, based on blended learning model and consists of nine different training courses for 40 trainees who spent 350 training hours.
The diploma program produced 35 graduation projects, varied between podcasts and vodcasts, 13 digital stories of 3-5 minutes and 35 digital stories produced by mobile phone.
As for training activities, the platform organized 6 training workshops attended by 536 trainees, and held 6 lectures discussing topics such as digital content, e-marketing, and journalism ethics in conflicts and war zones.
The platform also presented more than 30 videos of a documentary series covering experience of Palestinian journalists in covering the Israeli aggression on Gaza, with the aim to reflect the real conditions in field where they worked and challenges they faced.
