AJMI - Doha

On Sunday, July 13, 2025, e-learning platform of Al Jazeera Media Institute launched the second edition of Digital Media Diploma, with participation of 44 male and female trainees.

This diploma is characterized by participation of trainees from 13 Arab countries: Sudan, Morocco, Yemen, Kuwait, Oman, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, Mauritania, Syria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, in addition to participants from Ethiopia and Iran, which enriches training and makes it more useful by providing participants with a unique opportunity to exchange experience in a diverse media environment.

The program began with a training session on digital story field under the title, “Shaping the meaning through mobile lens”, where the session was marked by great interaction from the participants to the extent that it exceeded time scheduled.

This diploma is one of the most prominent programs of e-learning platform, as it focuses on developing both technical and practical media skills based on blended learning system that strucks balance between self-learning and direct interactive learning.

The diploma program consists of nine integrated educational courses, where success on the diploma program depends on perfect completion of a practical project. During each course, trainees undergo intensive two-week training that combines video lessons, self-reading, interactive live Zoom meetings and discussion sessions that contribute to enhancing critical thinking and deep understanding.

It is noteworthy that the diploma activities began with an introductory meeting between trainers, academic supervisors, and trainees, during which a full explanation was given about the nature of courses, evaluation mechanisms and the role of trainee participation, which contributed to creating a positive interactive atmosphere that enhanced integration of everyone in training experiment.
