73 Students from Non-Native Speakers Center of Qatar University visit the Institute

Al Jazeera Media Institute welcomed 73 male and female students from Qatar University’s Arabic Language Center for Non-Native Speakers over a course of two days. The students, all passionate about studying Arabic language, took part in a field visit designed to introduce them to the professional Arabic-language media environment.

During the visit, the delegation explored Al Jazeera Media Network through the lens of Al Jazeera Media Institute and its training services. The students toured television and radio studios, witnessing firsthand the dynamics of media production and newsroom operations. They also had the opportunity to meet several presenters and prominent faces of Aljazeera, including media professionals Abdulqader Ayadh and Jassim Al Azzawi.

In this context, Qatar University’s Arabic Language Center for Non-Native Speakers expressed its appreciation to Al Jazeera Media Institute for the warm reception and excellent organization throughout the visit. The center noted that the visit enabled students to discover Al Jazeera’s online Arabic language learning platform and engage in practical on-camera exercises focused on presentation and speaking skills. They were also introduced to mechanisms of news preparation and global news delivery, enriching their educational journey within an inspiring professional Arab media environment and paving the way for broader future cooperation between both sides.

The students also praised the visit and the opportunity to explore the world of media while experiencing what it feels like to stand before the camera. Student Sabina Fozailova described the visit as enjoyable and inspiring, noting that entering a professional studio for the first time was both exciting and memorable. She added that her passion for Arabic language encouraged her to make the most of the opportunity by learning more about presentation techniques, on-camera communication, and gaining practical experience that further strengthened her confidence and knowledge of the language.
