Eman Al Amri, Director of Al Jazeera Media Institute and Deputy Head of the Asian Sports Journalism Union, Mubarak Al Buainain, met in Doha on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. They discussed the prospects of cooperation in the field of training and qualifying sports journalists, exchanging media experiences, and benefiting from the programs offered by the institute in various media fields.

The director of the institute, Eman Al Amri, welcomed the representatives of the Asian Union, expressing her happiness with the cooperation between the two sides in developing the capabilities of sports journalists. Al Amri presented the courses and programs offered by the institute as part of its annual plan, emphasizing the great importance of sports media as a mirror reflecting the activities of institutions and sports frameworks.

She confirmed that the institute prioritizes contributing to the development of human resources and enabling them with the tools, experiences, and skills required for media work through theoretical lectures and practical applications provided by the institute.

Al Buainain expressed the pride of the Asian Sports Journalism Union in what the institute offers as a fundamental arm for training journalistic competencies within a leading media institution like Al Jazeera Media Network.

He praised the institute's significant role in presenting many media figures in various media outlets both inside and outside Qatar. He also praised the significant role of the institute in showcasing many media personalities in various media outlets within and outside Qatar.

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to draft a mechanism for cooperation between the institute, the Asian Union, and the Qatari Sports Media Committee, which will be signed later.
