Al Jazeera Media Institute has concluded an intensive training program for the Leaders of the Horizon Foundation on its premises. The two-week program was designed to develop media and professional skills of 12 Yemini administrative and media leaders.

In her speech at the graduation ceremony, Ms. Iman Al Amri, Director of Al Jazeera Media Institute, expressed her delight at the completion of this training journey, describing it as the outcome of a valued partnership with the Leaders of the Horizon Foundation to empower young people. She noted that participants arrived with substantial expertise and valuable experience but stressed that communications work requires continuous development and an ongoing commitment to keeping pace with the latest developments in communication and media.

Al Amri explained that, since its establishment, Al Jazeera Media Institute has sought to make media knowledge accessible to everyone across the region and to match training with the needs of real-world practice. She affirmed that cooperation with the Leaders of the Horizon Foundation is a natural extension of this approach, reflecting a shared belief that investing in people is the most important path towards building institutions with greater capacity to communicate, influence and drive change.

The Director of the Institute concluded her remarks by thanking participants for their active engagement throughout the program and their positive response to the training content. She expressed her hope that they would take with them skills they had acquired to their respective institutions and share these skills with their colleagues, helping to foster and consolidate a culture of professional communication within their workplaces.

In this context, Mr. Rajeh Badi, Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to the State of Qatar, expressed his pleasure at attending the graduation ceremony. He commended Al Jazeera Media Institute for delivering this distinctive program and for providing professional development that responds to the needs of young leaders and contributes to strengthening Yemeni expertise in fields of media and communications.

The program titled “New Leaders of the Horizon (NAHL),” comprised four specialized training courses: Media Skills and Public Relations, delivered by Dr Ghassan Abu Hussein; Television Interviews and On-Camera Presence, delivered by journalist Mohammed Krichen; Building Brand Image and Reputation Management, delivered by trainer Ahmed Salim Yildiz; and finally, Drafting Official Letters and Reports, delivered by Mr. Ahmed Hafez.

This program was organized as part of Al Jazeera Media Institute’s efforts to share media expertise and strengthening capabilities of institutions and individuals in communications and media fields through training programs combining theoretical knowledge with practical application.
