AJMI contributed with two training workshops in the second week of "Katara"

Al Jazeera Media Institute winded-up two training workshops during the second week of Katara Summer Camp. Both workshops held between 6 and 7 August by two trainers from the Institute in the midst of great interaction and turnout from young age groups, as the number reached fifty participants.

The first event was "Digital Identity" workshop which trained Zainab Al-Hajji from Al Jazeera Media Network who said: "I’m thankful the efforts of Al Jazeera Media Institute in promoting media culture at the local and international levels and its active participation in local initiatives, and I was honored to present "Digital Identity" workshop " where I was very keen to raise the awareness of participants about their role in the virtual world, especially social media platforms, and their role in producing an effective positive imprint on society.

Al-Hajji explained: "During the workshop, I met with a distinguished group of young people who briefed me on their efforts, interest and their expertise in producing educational knowledge digital content on digital platforms such as YouTube and Instagram, and we also discussed some successful local and Arab models.

While Raghda Jamal, a journalist at Al Jazeera Media Institute who trained " Story Writing " workshop for young age groups said: "I am happy with the interest of the Al Jazeera Ambassadors initiative in young age groups as it is an important category that is always neglected by media organizations and training institutions. Therefore, we, employees of Al Jazeera Ambassadors Initiative, are proud of our focus and interest in training future journalists and writers. In story writing workshop, we quickly went through the basic components of the story, so that the child can create a full-fledged story from beginning to end.

It is worth noting that the camp offers its training workshops on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays of each week until the 15th of August, on the southern side of the Cultural Village "Katara" from 01:00 pm to 03:00 pm..
