AJMI launches “Arabic language and Media for Youth” Program

Within the framework of the interest to reinforce presence of Arabic language among younger generations, Al Jazeera Media Institute has launched Arabic language and Media for Youth Program. Designed for children and teenagers aged 8 to 17, the program offers an engaging educational experience that combines Arabic language learning with practical media applications through an interactive and enjoyable approach.
The program, delivered by Arabic Learning Department, of the Institute aims to develop Arabic language proficiency and grammatical skills of participants, with a particular focus on public speaking, dialogue, and creative writing. Through a appropriate age-related activities and exercises, that empower young learners to express themselves and communicate with confidence and awareness.
Ms. Eman Al Amri, Director of Al Jazeera Media Institute, stated that launching “Arabic language and Media for Youth” Program reflects commitment of the Institute to expanding its training portfolio initiatives dedicated for children and adolescents. Moreover, it introduces specialized learning pathways that connect knowledge with hands-on experience. She added that linking Arabic language with media practice enables participants to discover Arabic lanaguage as a tool for thinking, storytelling, and dialogue, rather than merely considering it as a subject detached from their daily lives and interests.
In the same context, Dr. Ibrahim Mansour, Head of Arabic Learning Department at Al Jazeera Media Institute, explained that the program translates this vision into a training pathway that boosts young people’s language skills as an essential instrument for thought and expression. A proficient speaker, he noted, can communicate ideas clearly regardless of his academic or professional specialization. He further emphasized that the program presents Arabic language not simply as a subject to be memorized, but as a living skill to be practiced and experienced in order to prepares young people for the future and complements other fields of knowledge that serve society and help building a generation aware of its issues and capable of expressing them with confidence.
Arabic Language and Media for Youth Program represent another step in the Institute’s ongoing efforts to provide progressive training pathways that keep pace with the evolving abilities of children and adolescents while supporting their informed and meaningful presence within media landscape.
