AJMI launches 12 training programs for young people during the last quarter of this year

Al Jazeera Media Institute is going to organize 12 specialized training programs for young people during the last quarter of the current year, at its headquarters in Doha and in the State of Kuwait, with the aim of enhancing media skills and developing intellectual and creative abilities of young people. These programs are supervised by a group of experts and media professionals, including Amna Omar, Rita Khan, Ahmed Al-Malki, Salem Al-Jahwashi, Dr. Rania Al-Jamal, and others.
These courses cover various topics, such as: Art of public speaking, television presentation, mobile photography, voice concentration, negotiation skills, story writing and theatrical performance, in order to meet the needs of young people and support their media development through interactive and innovative training methods.
In Kuwait, both "Future presenter" and "Little speaker" courses will be held during the month of November, where each course is going to focus on developing skills of speech and vocal expression, building self-confidence, promoting effective communication, critical and creative thinking, in addition to developing dialogue skills and debate management in a persuasive and engaging manner.
These programs target the age groups between 10 to 16 years of both genders, with the aim to introduce them to Al Jazeera's media mission, and to hone their skills in the fields of objective analysis and respecting other opinion, in order to build conscious personalities capable of positively influencing society.
Since 2010, Al Jazeera Media Institute has been allocating a permanent space to develop skills of young people in media field. Over the past years, more than 1,000 of this age groups have benefited from these programs through more than 80 specialized training courses in various fields of media and communication.
