AJMI launches a Digital Media Diploma on February 17

The world is undergoing a continuous digital transformation, and digital media has become the latest means of communication and influence. Hence, and due to the increasing need for knowledge and mastering skills required in this field, Al Jazeera Media Institute is going to organize a digital media diploma from 17/February to 7/March led and supervised by a group of trainers from Al Jazeera media experts.
Through this diploma the Institute is providing an opportunity for participants to develop their skills in areas of digital marketing and social media management in order to enhance their competitiveness and provide them with an advanced curriculum and learning tools that enable them to continue their development and keep pace with rapid developments in this field.
The diploma will cover digital media strategy, including necessary tools needed for preparing digital strategies for individuals and institutions, how to prepare strategies for digital media organizations or for media departments in different institutions.
The diploma will also address journalism of social media platforms, types of platforms, how to analyze platform audience and geographical distribution. Participants will also be trained on how to create appropriate content for each platform and how to manage and measure audience trends in platforms on an ongoing basis.
The diploma also covers planning and building of smart correspondent network, which includes content strategy preparation, news planning and how to project that on reality of planning digital media. In addition to preparing agendas and plans, measuring their success, and how to create and manage a smart correspondent network in line with editorial policies of institutions.
The diploma also covers journalistic editing templates for digital content, such as the basic journalistic editing tools, modern digital media templates, focusing on implementing content strategy and measuring success of content in terms of reaching target audience.
The diploma values importance of monitoring and verification by stressing verifying information and news of open sources on the Internet, employing digital monitoring tools, and finally applying the basic tools for verifying information and news.
To join this diploma, it is required to have an initial knowledge in media and media tools in addition to a university degree, preferably in media.
