Al Jazeera Media Institute is going to launch a field media diploma, as part of a series of professional diplomas that it organizes during the current year, from 28 September until October 31st.

The diploma is offered by a group of Institute experts where participants will be able to distinguish the nuances between different fieldwork forms and writing treatments in pre-production stage, in addition to practicing different production methods for all forms of fieldwork and applying montage techniques in post-production stage.

Diploma outlines will include many important titles including the fundamental differences between field report, documentary program, documentary film, identifying concept of visual composition, creativity in field production, importance of visual language versus spoken language, mastery of writing to picture, journalistic writing and creative writing, followed by identifying pre-production stage that includes media message and research, how to write various treatments, coordination, identifying needs and work team, covering production and post-production stage which includes filming plan,  planning and improvisation, different methods of photography and dealing with reality...

This diploma targets students of media faculties, or university degree holders but preference will be for media major and those who have previous experience in journalistic work or documentary film making.
