AJMI LAUNCHES "OPEN COVERAGE" ON ITS DIGITAL PLATFORMS

In celebration of the twentieth anniversary since the establishment of the Jazeera Media Institute, the institute initiated a new program titled "Open Coverage" on its digital platforms on Thursday, 11th January 2024.

The "Open Coverage" program, part of the institute's educational offerings, aims to advance media practices at both regional and Arab levels. Presented by media expert Beiba Ould Amehadi, the program summarises Jazeera's experience in live television coverage and outlines the standards shaping this relatively new journalistic genre in the Arab world.

Comprising eleven episodes, the program explores the definition, duration, types, and prerequisites of open coverage. It also delves into implementation mechanisms, the roles of producers, directors, and correspondents, as well as the collaborative efforts of diverse teams ensuring the success and objectives of the coverage.

Topics covered encompass television presentation, translation, media language, and other subjects pertinent to journalism professionals.​
