AJMI launches Preparation and direction of TV magazine and miscellany programs course

Aljazeera Media Institute announces launching of a new course titled: Preparation and direction of TV magazine and miscellany programs from 13 to 17 October.
According to Training Department, this course is classified under visual creative skills category and is going to be led by trainer Munro Forbes. The course will be a good opportunity for media professionals who are interested to broaden their horizons and develop their skills in the field of TV content production.
The course covers different aspects and stages of preparing and directing television magazines and miscellany programs which, usually, combine interviews, live performances, human stories/features and entertainment. It will focus on art of generating and developing ideas, screenwriting, advanced production and direction techniques for various types of television programs and accordingly provide trainees with the best required tools and knowledge to develop integrated concepts and how to write attractive scripts and complete all stages of production.
The main themes of the course cover TV magazine production and production of miscellany programs in their different forms and styles, their societal impact and target audience analysis. The course will also focus on concept development and screenwriting through brainstorming sessions, planning general visions and preparing scenarios for various sections.
The course also covers planning pre-production phase, basic production techniques such as camera operation, lighting, sound and editing processes. Moreover, trainees will be trained on effective directing techniques, directing teams smoothly during live broadcast with the aim of creating distinctive and engaging TV production.
It should be noted that to enroll in this course, applicants must have a university degree and previous experience in media.
